Challenge Outcome

Net Successes
Actor's successes minus the opponent's successes (or the GM-assigned threshold). This value determines who gets narrative control over the outcome.
- 3+ — Actor has full narrative control
- 1 to 2 — Actor narrates, opponent embellishes
- −1 to 0 — Opponent narrates, actor embellishes
- −2 or less — Opponent has full narrative control

Setup
Add Heroes, then start a new story.
Starting a story seeds the Adversity pool at 1 per Hero, unlocks the rest of the tracker, and enables Villainy for the new story.
New Story
Seeds the pool at 1 Adversity per Hero, clears the once-per-story Villainy gate, and begins Story 1 / Issue 1 / Scene 1.
Use this to initialize the tracker.
